Katie Camarata, DO
About
Dr. Katie Camarata grew up in a rural area of Northern California where she watched her father serve her community as a family physician. She received her undergraduate degree at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California. She realized she wanted to become a physician a little later and moved to Colorado to fulfill her pre-medical requirements at CU Denver. Katie attended medical school at Pacific Northwest University in Yakima, Washington and continued her medical training at the family medicine residency in Missoula, Montana. Care philosophy: Katie believes in treating the whole person by trying to understand the interactions between physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social determinants of health, as well as understanding that patient’s place as part of a family, a community and their environment. She serves every member of the family for preventative medicine, chronic disease management, women’s health, urgent care and emergency medicine. She also specializes in Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT), a type of manual therapy for musculoskeletal issues. Personal: She is so excited to be back in a rural area where she can be in engaged in and serve the entire community, just as her father did. Her and her partner, Matt, can usually be found mountain biking, hiking, skiing, camping and van adventuring with their two dogs.
