CMC now offers on-site prescription dispensing for 70 medications using our new InstyMeds robot – basically a vending machine for drugs.  While it doesn’t carry everything you typically go to a pharmacy for, it does cover the most commonly prescribed acute-care medications such as antibiotics, asthma inhalers, steroids, and others.  If your CMC provider prescribes you a drug stocked in the InstyMeds machine, the robot will also process your insurance and any copayment required by your benefit plan.  If you need assistance, just pick up the phone on the machine and you will automatically be connected to a real live human being who can assist you.  The machine is available to CMC patients 24×7.
